The three images above are examples of a glamour transformation created with Digital Magic.

.

Your standard snapshot can be transformed into a Simulated Photographic Studio look with a new background and lighting effects.

All this can be accomplished without the expense of hiring a makeup artist or paying for a photo session at a professional studio.

The Glamour Touch process includes removing wrinkles, age lines, blemishes and freckles. Skin tone and colour can also be enhanced to achieve a more vibrant look.

How about a suntan? Apply rouge, eye shadow and lip gloss. Would you like to change the colour of your hair?

Missing a tooth or two? No problems. They can also be replaced to give you that perfect movie star smile.

If you want to include two subjects in the one scene but there isn't a third person available to take the photo, or there's nowhere to place the camera for a time delay shot, then simply take a photo of each other in the desired positions.

Be sure you don't change any of your camera settings at this point.

In order to achieve correct perspective and scale when the images are blended into one, ensure they are taken from the same height, position and distance.

Here are some examples where the backgrounds have been replaced with more appealing environments.

The young lady on the right has been removed from the highlighted section in the original school photograph.

A new environment was created by adding floor coverings some drapes and a chaise lounge.

Because the students in the front row of the school photo are sitting on a low platform, a similar low profile chaise lounge seemed more suited to the final result.

To complete the scene, the young lady was then positioned onto the lounge. The section of her right arm hidden by the girl sitting next to her was re-created as a new layer from part of her left arm.

This layer was then flipped horizontally, warped to fit and blended to seamlessly merge with the visible areas of her arm and shoulder.

This image is a montage of six generations of my own family, created from four separate photographs which date from the late 1800's to 2008.

After arranging the subjects in the correct chronological order, some extensive manipulation and blending was performed in order to achieve as realistic a result as possible. (Yours truly 4th from the left.)
